A job we all expect after having our college. A new headache comes after graduation. We all expect jobs come our way. But, knowingly or unknowingly, we do some such mistakes which the interviewers hate. They look for freshers and experienced professionals the way they see themselves in the company. They want employees with proper and practical knowledge, persons with ability to fulfill their needs.
That's why one should prepare himself/herself accordingly. Here are some tips for attending a job interview:
1. GROOMING WELL: Grooming plays the first and foremost role in a job interview to seek attention of the interviewers. Who doesn't want to look good? Everyone wants. So here are some points to concentrate on before going to attend an interview:
2. What you're going to wear?
i) For a highly reputed business professional job interview:
a) Men: Suit is the norm. However one may choose blazer with a pair of good quality formal shoe.
b) Women: A button shirt with a skirt or a formal trouser and heels.
ii) For a business casual:
a) Men: Forget the suit for a business casual interview. One might opt out to wear chinos with a button down shirt, a belt and dress shoes.
b) Women: A blouse (or sweater) with a skirt or dress pant & dress shoes or boots.
iii) For casual:
Interview at a casual office doesn't mean to wear anything and go. Here also one should look like a professional.
a) Men: A long sleeved dress shirt, trousers, a belt and dress shoes.
b) Women: A collared shirt with pants or even with the work dress.
3. Resume copies: Every job doesn't need a resume copy. But it is a plus point to have one for every person you're interviewing with.
4. A pen: It might seem silly, but this could be the reason they hire you. Because you look like you deserve the job.
Before coming to the final point here is a bonus tip. Take all the interview essentials and put them in one place the night before you're going to attend the interview. And one day before going to the interview, you should wear all the essentials to see that they are in a good condition. Otherwise you could mess up with them in the morning and you might go under-confident.
5. File: There are a lot of documents to appear with. And to find them all at one place, a file is needed. In case you're going to have interview in big MNC's , make sure you're going with a briefcase instead of a file. It adds volume to your hard work attitudes.

- Have a good haircut. Haircut should be like a professional person. Don't get a haircut which looks unprofessional or like a roadie. Be a professional one.
- Your face should be clean shaven if you're going for a corporate interview. However if you don't like to have a clean shaved look, make sure you've grown them well and maintaining it in a professional manner.
- Take a shower, because you want to look fresh.
- No one in the corporate area, or even at your home want you to smell bad. That's why, use a good quality perfume or deodorant. And make sure you didn't bath with them.
- Breath mints or gums. This is, not at all, a grooming item. But you should take it and chew it before going to appear in front of the interviewer. It prevents you from bad breathe.
